Since I'm not in the spirit of Xmas yet (and I really trying), here is a cute little linkey-loo to keep you occupied for hours. Remind me to watch where I dine next time! And if that isn't enough, PTOW mistress Tama Bough gives you the following link: be sure to click on "Barney Reloaded". These are YOUR tax dollars hard at work. And make sure NOT to be duped by the "other" government agency at The Whitehouse , though that is EXACTLY what one would expect from the porn robot!

Happy Holidays, kids!

So I see that the number of submissions for church signs using the patented "church sign generator" is at an all time low!! Zero. Zilch. Nada. What gives?!? I bust my ass week after week searching out entertaining websites and this is what I get in return? You're all getting coal in your cocktail glasses this Christmas! If you are so inclined, grab a JPEG of your own personal church sign and attach it to an email to: the omnipotent Linkey-Loo Robot. Prizes will be forthcoming.

Meanwhile, vent your frustrations on this little number! Don't miss the "Manic Mode"!

Repent, sinners!!! Check out this collection of church signs !! Join in the Linkey-Loo contest for the "best church sign". Use the "church sign generator" and make one of your own. Grab a JPEG of it and attach it to an email to: the omnipotent Linkey-Loo Robot
A jury of atheist judges will choose the best and the winner will be "baptized" in a most unconventional way.

Sorry I missed last week. I'm technically still on vacation, but WTF, you still get a linky-loo out of me. I've been pretty news-deprived sitting on a beach for a week and a half, so returning to civilization (and a stack of newspapers) everything seems kinda like this. Sit tight. It takes a little time to load.

Oh, and thanks Lee Gardner for this little news story.

As I may have to travel to "The Southland" again this Thursday, here is an early linkey-loo submission . I guess that this counts as on-line karaoke! Come on, get the rest of your office mates to join you in a chorus or two. Michael Murphy? Wasn't he a list member who got the boot? What does it all mean?!?

As I've mentioned several times in the past, I'm not the type that's too political. But DAMN if I don't like a good show tune. And speaking of politics, how about that recall? From the large field of gubernatorial choices, I spy one many of us know and used to work with - a one Dan Feinstein. Nicely positioned alphabetically above Larry Flint! Go Dan!!!

Well, I spent a good deal of time in school. College was the "5 Year Plan". Granted it was a California State College in the 80's, so it wasn't ridiculously expensive - just foggy. Now for those folks who are in the UC system, I'm glad when I see the fruits of the expensive education that their parents are footing the bill for!

And for those who get a degree from "University of the Asphalt", I give you this.

This link is brought to you by TNSC member Mary Haring. With her 4.0 GPA and 3 jobs she's holding down, it's no wonder that we never see her anymore. I'm sure that summer vacation will free her up a bit. We wish her well in getting out of Mt. Tamalpias High School. Who let a minor into the club?!?

In other news, the 3 submissions for the same website (from Julie, Tama, and Serena), now seems to be up again for your linking pleasure.

Guess what. I'm in LA again this week. I think Fleetwood Mac is from LA. Not originally, but I believe that they made this their home base at some point in their illustrious career. Stevie Nicks is from Phoenix, AZ...just like a TNSC founding member and a few associates, to boot. Lot's of people like Stevie Nicks. I don't. Not for anything personal, I'm just not a fan. I do know one person who is though. And if you're anything like her, she's got a deal for you!! I don't usually plug commercial ventures, but you gotta see this!!

And for you musicians, get a hold of one of these!!

A few years back, while driving through the lovely central valley of California, I was twisting through the radio dial, bored out of my mind, when my fingers stumbled across a sound so incredible, so amazing, that I nearly ran my VW off of the road. Sandwiched between some Country/Western station and a preacher whose voice crackled over the airwaves from some far away barn, came the sound of 4 young lads who had the smoovest rhymes and deafest beats that I have ever heard. But just as quickly as their music came to me, the 500 watt A.M. radio station that was broadcasting fell out of my antenna's range. I whipped the car around and traveled back and forth on HWY 99 for the next two hours trying to recapture the signal. I never did. Armed only with the knowledge that they were brothers and were from Modesto, I have finally tracked them down via the World Wide Web. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you The Sanchez Brothers.

Listen to their music, look at their clothes, and please, spread the word.

Okay. So I work for this company, Radium. As you can imagine, we have a good deal of imagery associated with our branding that is scientific in nature. To be very specific, our logo is from the Periodic Table of Elements. It is number 88. Anyway, having studied the Periodic Table often over the years (from high school chemistry on through college) I have never really seen it's unique style, structure and groupings replicated for use in other applications...until now. Leave it to "The Man Show" creator and host, Adam Corrolla, to come up with this little gem. Offensive? Maybe. Sexist? Perhaps. Funny? Definitely!!

Enjoy!

Again in LA. Last week's TNSC meeting with member Kay Rough, myself, and 150 hot LA gals was pretty crazy. Sorry those of you at Bacchus Kirk couldn't be in attendance. It was not your typical Thursday in SF. I bet those folks in Tuscon, AZ have the spirit too. I've never been there, but I'm guessing anyway. Judging by the "Pork Torta's website", I would say yes. Alameda, CA is a different story. Be sure not to miss the "Music Remixer". Everyone should have one.

And the winner is....TNSC founding member Josh Johnson!! Unfortunately employees and their families are not eligable to win. Too bad. Had the rest of you f*cks took 2 minutes to submit a creation you could have won!! Thanks for playing...

I try week after week to find interesting and engaging websites for all of the loyal TNSC folks. With major advancements in web interaction, flash animation, and general technology, it's sometimes nice to see something completely old school. Chris Hamilton would aggree. Don't forget to check out the "album" section. They don't make 'em like that anymore. I should be careful, I'm starting to tread in Tama's territory!

Saturday, February 08, 2003

I have to confess. I was given the task by the chief robot to maintain TNSC's "Linkey-loo" section. Not a big deal (I think). Scan the 'net for interesting or stupid websites and link them to a bunch of text for the rest of the TNSC community to enjoy. Well, I have always maintained that I was computer illiterate. I don't know a JPEG from a FONT, or Microsoft from HTML. "It's easy", I'm told. "Just cut and paste the last week's announcement, replace all of the text, and cut and paste your new link into it, and hit "publish". Great...sounds easy.

The chief robot forgot to tell me to maintain proper "syntax". So here I am, merrily posting away, not knowing that all my hard work, instead of opening a new window with the chosen link, is merely opening as a tiny representation of the link within the TNSC home page!! I've got a 50 hour week (at minimum) and I don't really have time to double check my work. And apparently, neither does anyone else!! So, in the next few weeks, I will be reposting (properly, I hope), the fantastic links that you have all been deprived of.

I will start with the greatest link EVER!!!
