Deadbeet

Bars closing:
Exhibit A   (haven't personally been, but a loss is a loss)
Exhibit B   (have been there through all 3 incarnations by that owner)

Breweries now NOT closing  (been there many times...)

Do's or Don'ts.  Discuss.

"They can profit off a deal from a patriotic tax
While sitting on the board of golden slacks
Cheat on their wives with a cute intern
 History's lesson they'll never learn."

Breakfast of Champions

(not Whiskey... the novel)

To celebrate 10 years since Kurt Vonnegut's passing, Indianapolis bars went all out in his honor.
Camper English was there.

Please don't do this.

And an AMAZING Mr. Bean trailer re-cut.

"Lucky strike filters every night n' day.
A shot of Jack Black an' I'm ready to play.
I know it ain't healthy but it's quite alright.
Til' I find a woman better than Lucky Strikes."

(actually, Kurt smoked Pall Mall non-filters)

All the News That Fits, We Print.

Some recommended TNSC reading from the New York Times:

First off, I say, there's NO reason to be like Foster Brooks.
Why "act", when you can METHOD ACT?!?

And after a Thursday night... maybe some Friday jogging?

"I guess I let my health go
 Since you quit being mine.
 There's nothing to replace you
 'Cept liquor, beer, and wine."

Smokey the Bear

Not the guy with the ranger hat, but the diminutive entertainer.  Sammy Davis Jr. has graced linkies in the past, but this time, you can buy the Rolls that Sinatra gave to him!

Doesn't have the cool DRUNKY vanity plates that Dino's Stutz Bearcat had, though.

And, as most things in life, it all comes down to math.

"Every body knows me,
 Down at the local bar,
 I drink until I can't see,
And I wonder where you are."
